BEST in Bath was opened in 2010. Founder Mark Appleton has been running courses in Bath since moving here in 1996 (to open and run International House Bath), and teaching English for over 40 years.
Since January 2026, BEST in Bath courses are being managed and delivered by our partner school Bath Academy, who are responsible for British Council Accreditation and Membership of English UK. The new name for our collaborative venture is BEST @ Bath Academy.
